Dulford Alternative

I've not been keeping up with TVR news recently and so it wasn't until I tried to book the Griff in for it's annual service that I heard the sad news about Dulford Automotive. I've known Rich, Neil and the lads for many years, having originally used them as the original Peninsula Automotive who I seem to remember were a Marcos dealer. I stuck with them through the difficult times as Peninsula became a larger company and was delighted to move to Dulford when Richard recovered from his illness. It is therefore very sad to hear that Richard is ill again and Dulford is no more.



I believe Col is setting up on his own but in the interim, I have a pressing need for a service and MOT in time for the Le Mans Classic. I'm looking for recommendations in a 50 mile radius of Poole.



The garage should have specialist TVR knowledge and be authoritative on such debates as "How do we stop top-front Polyflex bushes from melting" and "What size grooved discs should I fit to the back". I don't want someone that believes OEM is best!

I believe these guys are good, I can't reccomend personally yet as not used them, but I am booked in at the end of the month for MOT and Service, a few local guys do speak highly of them though

Yep, as per previous......... all looking good for Col, he's hoping to be in Wellington in the next few days now ! He's currently operating out of a unit not too far from the old place, and got my Tam serviced and MOT'd last week..... !

Just off the motorway at Wellington. 2 mins from the Taunton link road you'd come up from 303 T Ilminster.

I enquired about the very same thing recently. Turns out both JHD and TVRSSW are within spitting distance of what used to be Dulfords. Both seem to know what they're talking about, although the estimates I got varied considerably in price.

To be fair, both were rough estimates sight-unseen, but one was significantly cheaper than the other.
