How much are remanufactured T28's worth
Discussion
I am just looking for a bit of advice, i just got my pair of (matching)
..T28's back from universal looking like new, and i was going to put them on ebay but the only thing is i have no idea how much they are worth..
I had a look on ebay, there are some T28s for 200sx for sale for circa £250 but yet the remanufacturing process costs £300 per turbo, so i'm not sure what i am missing as it seem crazy to sell them for less than the cost of remanufacture, fair enough that in my case i did not pay for the remanufacture so i would not be losing money persay...but still i want to avoid selling them for much less than what they are worth.
Also i am selling them without actuators so i suppose that would lower what they are worth.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated..

They are worth what someone is willing to pay, However when you say remanufacturing do you just mean re-build with new seals and re-balance? If so then a fresh pair are probably worth the £300 each. A pair of standard actuators are maybe £100.
If its upgraded compressor wheels and cut back exhaust blades then the cost of doing that is a couple of hundred more per turbo to build a 500-550 hp spec car. I asked for £500 per turbo and had 3 replys saying yes within a day, first reply got them.

They are just standard M400 turbos, good for 500bhp. I guess they are worth £300 each then.
I was reading about remanufacturing and apparantly the definitionm is that any "worn out" parts are replaced, i think mine just got a service pack but apprarantly universal have a standard charge of £275 per turbo for this, crazy that they sell for 300 each that basically means that used turbos not remanufactured are worth nothing? lol
In addition i just want to add that universal deserve to be given credit..i sent them the turbos and they sent them back serviced and like new at no cost...well above my expectations with regards to customer service considering that one of the turbos wasnt even faulty...
I also want to make a public shout to Kevin (Gto600) who is always a genuine and top bloke to deal with for used parts..and seems to have his own personal breakers yard of Noble parts..
..those who frequent the forums will know what this is about..the moral of the story is dont listen to retarded cypriot mechanics who do not have a clue about aerodynamical turbo matching..

As andy says below, prob not 500, they were only good for 460 on my car when standard.
