I have finally brought my first 911 (993 cab C2) from those lovely chaps at 911 virgin. I am looking for a good owners club to join, can anyone recommend a porsche club that is fun? I am based on the South Coast but looking for excuses to drive.

Whilst I'm at it are there any mods I should be making to the car, or is the standard 993 the business?

Porsche Club GB is worth the subscription. Its monthly magazine has lots of information and the regional branches run lots of events - and you don't have to stick with just your local branch if there's something elsewhere that you fancy doing. It also has a good website, which you can browse to get an idea of what it's all about.

Welcome to the 993 fraternity - super cars!

Yes welcome to the marque, I belong to both PCGB & Tipec, join PCGB, come up to Surrey region if you would like a small run out, meeting on second Tuesday of each month at "The Fairmile" Portsmouth Road, Cobham, just off the A3 near the M25 from 8pm. Very good attendances with a wide range of models usually present. Good regional organiser.
