I don't agree with those airfares> i suspect flying to most places when the race is on commands a huge premium. Monaco (Luton/Nice) on Easyjet for this year, if you book now is £400

I know you said you've made a lot of assumptions but I think you've biased them all on the low side.
When you looked the price of slights did you book them for the weekend of the race? If I want to fly on the cheapest budget airline from London to Monaco (Nice Airport) for the race weekend it will cost me $600. It's a trip
I did recently for $130, but then the race wasn't on.
And if you think anyone who has an apartment with a view of the race will let you use it for free you need to think again. The revenue from renting an apartment for race weekend can pay the rent for the rest of the year. Anyone who doesn't use it is so rich they value their privacy.
The best value race I went to was Indianapolis where the sales were so poor the scalpers (touts) were selling tickets below face value.
And your $20 a day travel budget is much too low. How far do you think it is from a $150 hotel to a circuit? If you stay at Holiday Inn in Milton Keynes to get to Sliverstone that'd got to be the over $100 each way. The traffic is so bad the driver has to charge you for the half a day he spends with you. And remember we pay nearly $10/gallon for gas. As does most of Europe.
Some circuits, such as India are a very long way from town. You've also not included every day expenses such as laundry and as you are on the road for 254 days there will be some times you'll want entertainment such as movies. I guess these are costs you'd have if you stayed at home but when you are travelling particularly in places like Europe, Singapore and Japan they are very much more expensive.
Me? I'd cherry pick the best races such as Monaco, Belgium and Canada, and skip the dull ones like Valencia and Dubai.

I've asked my wife quite a few times if we could do this once the kids have grown up and she seems pretty keen.
My preference would be to stay a few days after the GP in the location and then fly onto the next on the Wed/Thurs pre race.
I'd only return home for the summer break in August.
