My wipers seem to work fine on the normal button (maybe slightly slow...? Or maybe tadts).
Anyway they don't respond to the wash wipe button.... They did work occasionally but seem now to have given up...?
Any ideas?

check the wash pump bud, this would be my first port of call, could be an earth issue etc,or just a bad connection.Disconnect the pump and check power through the wires first

Sounds like steering wheel button is at fault or the ribbon cable in steering column slightly loose

A easy way to test the button it's self is if you have a multi meter unplug it fit the ends of the probes in to the little connector press it and see if you have continuity when pressed. If not use a flat blade screw driver or the likes to make the circuit at the two prongs that are left when the button is disconnected when the ignition is on and if the wipers move you know it is the switch if not it is further down the line but you can rule the button it's self out.

Hi Gazzab... the button is connected to two fine wires which then connect to prongs under the rubber area on the steering column boss. I would suggest that these wires are worn through as they rub on the underside metalwork of the steering wheel. These broke on mine and I soldered them on. I have become an expert at getting the wheel on and off and plugging in the individual plugs back onto the connector prongs.

Mine did.
Also my wash wipe started behaving like the wiper button for a while smile

Had a very similar problem with mine.
Wash/wipe would work some of the time but eventually gave up.
Normal wipers were a bit slow.
Replaced this: http://www.clever-trevor.net/TVR/Parts_details/M04...
Nice and cheap place to start.
Mine now work perfectly - well they did last time I tried them lol.
Old switch was corroded around the terminals.
The positioning of the switch leaves it fairly open to the elements.
Unless you have had this renewed recently it may be something else to check.

Hello. Park switch arrived.
Anyone have a link to DIY instructions re fitting it?
The wash wipe worked today though (not initially but after a few button presses it came to life).

Ahh I dont have facebook.
Managed to get old switch out - had to take the top water pipe into expansion bottle out the way to enable me pull the female spades off the old switch. But am now giving up! I cant get my hands in to enable me to put the spades onto the new one (blue, yellow and red wires) not can I see quite how it will mount to the back of the wiper motor!

Good. I dont have Facebook either but luckily, as you've found out, you don't need it to see the guide.
I originally gave it a go the "hard way" leaving everything in-situ but no chance.
And once you've done it the "easy way" it really is much simpler and easier.
Hope the park switch sorts the problem.

Time to put car in garage though and try tomorrow to do it the 'easy way'.
If I had babies hands with 8 inch long fingers then I could do it in situ!

It's one job I've done that I thought was more difficult than it was, just a little bit fiddly that's all.

Well it's all apart and back together. About 1.5 hrs. Managed to not break or lose anything except some skin.
Just letting car warm up to ensure there are no leaks..!
