The drivers door mirror, silly! Door mirror went a bit "floppy" today thought it was loose on the mounting rubber, but it appears to have broken at the top of the alloy housing inside.
Have done a search on here and all I found was the offer of repair by Racing Green, has anyone done a similar repair themselves, or is it a case of stuff a load of Sikaflex in it and stick it together, hopefully someone has done a pukka job !

Thanks
Richard

Rich mirrors are from Citroen, give them a call and see what lurks in the old stock bin.

Mine did exactly the same thing, if it's the internal frame like mine was, I was able to use chemical metal to get a fairly decent repair. Someone else on here used rivets and a fresh piece of metal plate.
The job is fiddly as hell and I managed to then break the tower part by over tightening the lug nut which fastens it on the boss, and had to buy a new one from clever Trevor.
The bible has a good description of how the mirror assembly all fits together there are also some good threads on here with better pictures.
Plan for the job taking a few hours and be prepared for a lot of faffing and retrying to get it all aligned properly and be very careful with paintwork it's very easy to chip paint and scratch the door, I know from experience frown

Hi Harry, looked at that part, but on mine the alloy has parted company right inside the mirror body, its a very thin section and I assume this is where the mirror originally bolted onto the mounting, if I get a chance I will try and pull it apart and delve deeper
