Engine mount change on T350/Tam
Discussion
Having done it once and never forgotten it . a simple summary with normal jack up car /stands remove wheels bits missing
1) remove undertray
2) remove airbox
3) remove battery
4) remove drivers side mount (jack up/support engine)
5) remove /replace exhaust side mount (juggle engine to get it in) - shorten the studs on mount if too long.
6) replace Drivers side mount
7) juggle engine allignement for optimum exhaust to body clearance
8) tighten all engine mount bolts
9) refit everything else
The exhaust side can be a fiddle and some recommend removing the cat nearest to help with access, I got mine in with the cat in place.

Thanks guys.
I have a pit but I'm not sure I have a jack which is low enough.
Selby TVR TVR have just quoted me £192 + vat to fit a new NS engine mount and re set my Nitrons up. Hmmm.
You need to be able to move the engine around and support it without any mounts fitted, if thats looking a bit dubious with your setup/pit I'd not start it and find it doesnt work out. Selbys price seems reasonable for the faff element though I suspect once they've done a few it'll be like shelling peas (maybe not)I have a pit but I'm not sure I have a jack which is low enough.

where are you going to source your engine mounts? The originals are pretty much a servicable item, and there are apparently some better ones available (Str8 Six told me about them). I believe they are SC Power but, after seeing another recent thread (see below)...i would check.

My mounts have lasted less than two years since i changed them, have done around 6000 miles or fairly open road running, so i wont refit standard if i can help it. Even if you dont fit yourself this is worth considering...
