Can anyone explain please why sometimes when you are ill (think serverve cold or defo flu) you can get a horrible sore or tender skin sensation?

My back is really sore after an odd short illness which was probably a "virus" but my skin especially my back is really sensitive, even sitting back in a chair is uncomfortable.

Certain flu or viruses can give you sensitive skin - grouped usually with aching joints and general feeling crappy-ness.

It has never been life threatening so MTFU sick boy!

Since you are a girl you should be aware that suffering is endemic to the female condition. Men were sent here to ensure that. Generally I think we do. smile

Shingles generally only affects one side of your body (along a nerve route) so if the pain (normally burning sensation) is in a large area or both side of your back unlikely to be shingles.

Obviously some kind of virus, it lasted about five days with headache, feeling sick, no appetite, tired, sore skin and feeling. Old. Then after one day of feeling well I broke out in a rash all over my arms and legs. That lasted a day then I was back to normal today.
