That's good news .
Hope to see you all there !
I should be going to Croft on Sunday, but in my other car, as too much queuing likely.

Ian, thanks for calling back.

This evening I did a practice run down to York and back
(round trip of 120 miles).

As you can imagine with the Wedge being still a bit of an unknown quantity, I had everything crossed.

Well, the old girl behaved impeccably, and I had no need of the vast array of survival equipment I'd packed for the trip.

Lots of rattles and vibrations, but nothing that can't be sorted, I'm sure. Handling superb, and engine definately running cleaner after the exercise.

Grinning all the way, and enjoying the admiring (I hope!) looks.

Good, 'cos I was planning a litle cruise around the moors en route to Helmsley, if anyone fancies joining me? I thought Great Broughton - Kildale - Westerdale - Blakey Road to Hutton-le-Hole, drop into Kirbymoorside and about 6 miles of drudgery to Helmsley.
The alternative is the camera-riddled Police-infested numpty-blocked Gt. Broughton - Chop-Gate - Helmsley road, which whilst admittedly being shorter (and potentially faster, though that need not concern us here ) is far less entertaining IMHO.... I think Neil may disagree but then he has a grumbling gearbox to consider.
I'm hoping to get my ar5e into gear early AM and give my mate Ste a call: although short notice he may be interested in bringing his 280 DHC along for a ride.
Depends on the deceased of Teesside, I guess

Ian
Off to fiddle with my rev limiter (yes I know it's 1AM... the night is yet young!)
