I have a friend who is thinking or ordering a 991S - anyone know the delivery wait for one of these?

I'm guessing that's in a new language we are unaware of!

I think it means, OPC will tell you that there is a wait, and then a day later find an immediate build slot. Hence no real wait.

There are lots of stock cars kicking around in the network. Even if you want a new build some OPCs can get you a May build now.

Leicester Porsche have a unregistered 991 that is available, due in next week. August for build to spec.

Hatfield OPC have 3 in the show room, one C2 convertible (white), and 2 C2Ss (red and black) with PDK.

I ordered mine (Carrera S) on the 23rd, it was planned for build yesterday.

Don't know how long it will take now, but I guess a few weeks. Have the delays at port been sorted do we know?

Cheers

I've also been told I could get a build date within 6 weeks if I want one, delivery is anyone's guess though! As mentioned, there are a surprising number of cars in the dealer network now if you're flexible on spec, I have spoken to 5 or 6 over the last week and they all had cars. Disappointed to note that Bolton OPC didn't return my call, I think they work on the principle that if you don't bug them more than once you're not serious or desperate enough.

such a contrast to a lack of Cayennes on showroom floors ..

Cayenne is years old, 991 is months old.

23rd of March? Completely new order, totally from scratch? That's pretty incredible.
