had a knocking noise under my car for a while, haven't been too worried about it as I just thought it was the exhaust and I couldn't spot anything lose last time I checked. So just been under for another look and I think I've found the culprit. The undertray under the gearbox is rotten to the point where the plastic thing that sits on top of it can just flap around.

Any suggestion on what the best way of sorting this is? New undertray? or just bodge it?

I'm not sure if they're the same ones, but MX-5parts have some discounted last time I checked. Around £200 down to a bit over £100 if I remember right. But there are two you have to get for the 6-speeds. I need to do this myself, having removed most of my one during this winter on big holes in ice. Also need to drill out on of the bolts since it snapped. I didn't look in detail, but looked to be a pretty simple job if you just remove and replace?
