Purchased this in February with 39k on the clock. I'd wanted a 320d last year but the funds wouldn't stretch so after 10 months in a 1.8TDCi Mondeo I got enough money saved up for a 320 but ended up with the 325. Glad I did as the 6cyl sounds good even for a diesel. It munches the 80 miles per day to work and back and returns around 45mpg which I'm pleased with.

It's not had the easiest life as there's a few scratches on it and a couple of parking dents but I'll get round to sorting them out.

Finally got the smiley, so I went out earlier and took some pictures. I've another, smaller smiley in the same colour but not sure where to put it/if I should.

Nice 3 series....I,ve always been a fan of bmw diesels...they give a good blend of performance and economy......just read a write up in autocar about the new 320 d .....its astonishing, its bound to sell well with fleet buyers....anyway enjoy your new car....

I may well be going dark next year, or sooner if I can, and a 325D would be spot on. Have you had any issues with it as all I've heard are bad things about the 3 series diesels. A colleague has a 320D M Sport and he thinks it's great though smile

Out of interest, what MPG do you see on a pure motorway run?

As yet I've not had any issues and covered about 3k. With regard to mpg, I haven't done a motorway run but on the run to work (40 miles, 75% NSL/50mph A roads and 25% NSL/30mph B roads) the best I've seen is 50.2mpg, gun it and on the same run it's down to about 47/48.

That's about what my '57 2.0 TDCi Mondeo does so not bad! (probably less tbh, only seen 50mpg once)
