Bit of a shot in the dark here, but planning a night out there tomorrow providing the bars are open late enough... I have a feeling they're open till 1, can anybody confirm this?

Also are there any good clubs or do you have to travel?

Andy

Plenty of pubs in Dids but they close at normal time. As for bars, then there is the Pitcher & Piano which chucks out at about 12:15. I think the Slug & Lettuce chucks out quite forcefully a bit before then.

If you like real beer, then go in the Dog & Partridge, the Station, Hogshead, Fletcher Moss, The Crown and The Royal Oak.

If you want a meal then you could book The Third Eye (I think that's the name) next to the D&P or go to The Didsbury (south of Didsbury village next to The Old Cock on the bend of Wilmslow Road) or go into West Didsbury where the restaurants are better. Mad Wendys (Thai Elvis Karaoke has to be experienced to be believed!) is great for a laugh and you could stay in there all night til about 2am singing, eating and drinking. Plus The Metropolitan and some other pubs/bars are there.

As for clubs, forget it! There's 'Fridays' at the Britannia Ringway Hotel inbetween West Didsbury and Northenden but you would be wasting money in a taxi to get there... unless you like to fight over slappers! Still I've heard the air stewardesses can be good....

Hope that helps

Richard

Cheers Richard, very helpful info.

Last time we went to Didsbury we ended up in Fridays - that decor...

I just wondered if it would be worth staying in the bars all night but I don't fancy it if midnight is as late as it goes... city centre it is then.

Thanks again.
