F2 or FFRR? opinions

Hi,
we are looking at 'swapping' our XType estate for an F2 or FFRR (if funds allow). What are the things we should be aware of? What trim levels do they have ? would prefer an auto - will probably need to be a diesel - but we don't do too much regular mileage - do they have DPFs? What sort of budget gets a decent one?

or can you point me in the direction of an F2 forum...
