Hello chaps, I guess this request will become more common in future !

My mate has a small garage business in Worcester, and he's had a "car" brought into him, and as ever he's trying to help.

It is a Chinese beach buggy style of a thing, and it was imported by a company I'm told no longer exists, celled superbyke, and spelt that way too.

The car is/was made by PMI Shanghai Co Ltd (I will be googling etc, but thought I'd ask here too)

The engine is a DAZON, it's an 1100 four cylinder car engine, the chassis number of the car is L4MB4FG67A110100

What we really need is the pin out data for the CPU, which only has chinese style markings on it.

The problem is intermittent, but very frequent, loss of power to the cam sensor.

Many thanks in advance.

Well, so far so good !

Just in case anyone is watching this, I found their website :

http://www.peoplesmotor.com/index.htm

E-mailed them this morning, and I now have the pin outs for the ECU.

If this ecu system sends a 5 volt reference to the crank angle sensor, it could have other sensors on the same vref line.

Although I have the pin outs, it isn't helping us much at the moment.

I expected something like sensor pos, sensor sig, and sensor zero (ground return).

We have a three wire sensor, no wiring drawings showing the sensor, and the cpu pinouts just give, and I quote ;

pin 48 engine camshafter signal negative
pin 49 engine camshafter signal positive

Even on the odd occasion we can get the engine to start, we are showing no voltage on any of the three wires, to either each other, or either of the refernce points (pos and neg battery), and when the engine starts,which isn't often, it runs like a bag of poo,and of course won't rev, we imagine because the signal is missing.
