Some internet nutter thinks he has 'de-registered' his car meaning he no longer has to pay for tax, insurance or an MOT. Except he also thinks he is still allowed to drive it on the road under the 'Common Law Right to Travel'. I'm no legal eagle, but I'm pretty sure he's mental.

Beware of Skoda pick-ups, if you crash into it the driver will accuse you of being an MI5 plant.

Nope, "common law right to travel" probably does not mention cars. Legs? sure, horses possibly but not motor vehicles.

I don't know about this but there are some very strange legal cases involving the principle of "Freeman on the Land"

What you think of as the "law" has some very peculiar origins.

I can't claim to understand half of it, but i have read some case studies where people have walked away from open/shut cases by refusing to accept the law of statute

That would be because it doesn't stand up to any scrutiny whatsoever and is, quite frankly, complete bks.

Logically, I agree. But as i said, several people have walked out of courts, so there must be something to it

When has that happened? (not saying it hasn't, but I'd be curious to find out the real reasons behind it - probably that dealing with illogical idiots is often more hassle than it's worth!)

So he is driving around on the roads paid for by the rest of us. I hope no one takes their hat off for this tosser.
Road tax stings, yes, there is waste in the system, yes its corrupt, but its necessary , and i think the system is as near to perfect as we can expect it to be.

A special brand of crazy.

They have an interesting outlook on the legal wranglings, but they'll never win.

It's been a couple of years since i looked at it, but i'll try and dig it out.

In at least three cases the magistrates were clearly defeated by the logic of the "illogical idiots".... but the fact that the legal system didn't want to spend months proving it's legitimacy in order to win the case certainly was a factor - in the end the system had to give up and let them off.

Either that's because it isn't legitimate, or as you suggest it couldn't be bothered to prove it was - but it could not rule against, so there must be something in the argument or it would have been thrown out

David Icke forums contains a whole sub forum on the common man issue.

Its not as clear cut as people make it.

Don't go on David Icke forums unless you want your pee boiling in other areas though!!
