I dislike fat, lazy sounding V8s no matter how much low-end torque they have. Much prefer the harder-edged sounded of a cammed up revvy one.

There are some great sounding diesel trucks out there!

In some respects I think a lot of old school cross-plane crank V8s are a bit diesely. Comparatively slow revving, torque-rich delivery etc.

I'm more of a flat-plane man myself.

But really, my point was kinda tongue in cheek,id much rather the noise of a 355. But for a diesel.. what a noise!
