Going to book my wheels in the question is what colour?
I have a 996 silver c2 my gut is telling me stick with silver.
i like black with silver outer rim but don't want it to look a bit chavvy.
Opinions welcome and any pics of black wheels on a silver porker would be great!!

How about a satin finish - I'm sure somebody on here posted pics of their car with sort of satin-silver rims and it looked great.

To some extent it depends on the wheel style too. Maybe post a pic of your car to help the creative juices flowing? Otherwise a photo and photoshop might show you how different options will look.

LOL! smile OK that serves me right for trying to do too many things at once!

To the OP - I've always thought that Black or Anthracite wheels look good on a silver car .... they add a touch of "accent" to a smart but quite "vanilla" colour.

Whereas my view is the opposite - dislike black rims intensely on any colour car, though less so (slightly) on guards red for some reason. Overall I like standard silver, or prefer a slightly satin or grey finish. I also don't think those 996 rims will suit being painted I'm afraid so my vote is firmly in the 'leave it as it is' camp - though the general feeling seems to always be quite positive toward black wheels...

Well I've got the Carerra Sport wheels and the inners are "GT Silver" with a diamond cut edge. Stylish but distinctive IMHO ..... wink

Think I am thinking along your lines not to that extreme but I think black wheels look better on red, black not many light colours look good maybe an exception is white but think I am leaning towards silver at a push satin!

I like the look of these. I'd happily bolt them onto my 964. For interest, I'm assuming these have been refurbished and sprayed - and very good they look too - any idea where they were done?

I've always thought Anthracite looks good on a silver car. This is my 'old' 997 with Anthracite lobster forks:

A little less harsh than black

Ian_UK1 - looks great! wink

I had my wheels done in shadow chrome for my Basalt black 997 C4S but I suspect they'd look great with Arctic silver too…

Thanks for the pics people!
Anthracite looks quite nice on silver!!

I am going to try and pop over the wheel shop on Saturday they have said they can help me out with choosing colour so may prove beneficial in helping me decide!!
