Is he saying this because it won't happen or just to take some focus away from what's going on in Bahrain?

It's a complete non-story...

"Maybe the New York race will be 2013," he said. "It's a when - 2013 or 2014." - Bernie

Might be to deflect Bahrain, although hasn't he said this about every new race that has entered the calender in recent years. I'm sure the same, or something similar, was said about India.

For all the good Bernie has done over the years with F1 when will he roll over and stop stirring st up. I pretty sure Bernie only says something if it will benefit him directly...

The race in Austin will be a dead dog, the NY race however is a very interesting idea....although political. Hope the NY one does happen in 2014,

Thought things were progressing again there? i've had a look at the official website and all is rosy (of course) but have heard a few rumbles about payments and delays.

Annoying as I have a chance of going this year....
