Diff ratios

I've got a 2002 Griffith 500 with a Hydratrack diff, anybody know what ratios are available for the later diffs?

Speak to John Reid at readman racing.

3.91, 3.73, 3.45, 3.23 and 3.07. John changed the internals on mine from a 3.73 to a 3.45 so doesn't necessarily need a new diff just to get the different ratios.

Once this years racing is out of the way I am fitting a 3.08 in mine.

Just what I have but I am planning something major for the Sag at the moment so I am pretty sure it will need completely changing along with another major part of the car

My guess to 1 of those would be a sequential box. Now that would knock a few tenths off your 1/4.

I think you are good at guessing, major upgrade though and a major amount of cash. It with a couple of engine tweaks will be mental.

Take a look at Dave Morris's racer running Brighton speed trials on youtube. Rubbish grip, poor 60 foot and a 10 anyway!

I run more than most anyway (by a very small amount) but yes it could become a problem. I love it though and am more than used to the way it drives I see a new box as a way forward

But performance for the £ it is way ahead of anything I know. Yep it will do 10's

If your car wheelies as many 9sec cars do, then 4wd is a waste of time.
One of the Mazda Rotary boys that Dyno Torque does a little work for, did an 8.xx/150 odd and drove home weekend before at the Pod! (he wheelies!)

A few biased suspension settings and a couple of tie straps on the front nearside spring would make for a photo opportunity.

I went faster every launch last time out, thanks to getting brave with the driveshafts, but eventually if nothing snaps i am sure it will do it, a 1.5xx be enough?

The problem is the wheelbase, weight distribtion etc.
Ive seen cars pull full wheelstands with less power.
Sadly no more but Adams Jago jeep was superb for wheelies. There are clips on youtube worth seeing, just search 'v8jago wheelie'. All he had at the time was a 5.0 TVR engine, a 200 shot of nitrous and a proper 4 link set up.
