Looks like I might be getting out of TVR ownership for short while...

Work is getting manic and to be honest I'm not using my car enough (only a weekend car) and even if there was TVR meets etc to go to I need my rest over the weekend...too knackered recently for early mornings at weekends lol. Also, my flying has been impacted by the TVR stuff last 2 years and need to get up the hours...hey not knocking it...its been a fantastic experience what with Le Mans drivers parade and meeting lots of great people but now think I need a bit of luxury and some performance. But will never be able to compare any car to the TVR performance though!

So...sorry to mention it on here...but I might be going BMW M3 direction...nice bit of comfort and some nice performance to boot. Not certain yet...could go for something much less and still some performance ie maxda RX8...ok nothing like a TVR I know that lol

Hey I'm not leaving the TVR Car Club...too many good people but just taking a break from the TVRs for a bit.

Gonna regret it but MY CAR IS NOW UP FOR SALE!!! Email me for details.

Those that know of my car and its impeccable history...know that someone is gonna get a great car!!

My situation is scarilly similar!

The Griff has just gone, due to new job, lots of hours and miles, new family, baby boy in Feb, and flying, about a quarter of the way through my PPL(h).

Getting rid of the Griff has got to be one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, but I still intend to be a member of the club, as I consider many members to be friends over and above the car club (hopefully they think the same)

Hopefully I'll be back in a Tiv reasonably soon.

Looks like we have a volunteer to drive the Mid Essex Le Mans Support Vehicle next year then. Just like Archie you can go from Zero to Hero.

Or you could always fly over the provisions/fridges in your plane.

My god mate, thats a bit of a shock!

My advice is testdrive lots before making your decision.

I've being doing a bit of testdriving recently. The M3 would be very easy to live with but was a bit dull. The RX8 I was very impressed with as a bargain alround package, but it was quite slow and it seems a bit harsh to have the same fuel economy as the Tiv but not the performance. Try an Impreza, not as comfy but bags of character. Nobles are quite nice too!

Don't be away to long Alan!! If there is one TVR out there that i would Happily chop mine in for is alf's lovely Copper Reflex Tuscan 's' and he know's that!!
The car is such a crowd puller wherever he parks it.
So if you want to be "Glared" at wherever you go, then alfs car is the one for you.

Ok sales talk over(must have earned a drink there alf!!)
