Someone on here (sorry but I can't remember who) has fitted an electric heater control instead of the cable type.
In order to keep my dash minimalist I am thinking of doing something similar so a little assistance would be useful please.

They originate from Vintage Air but you can't buy direct, found this http://www.macsradiatorshop.com/servo-heater-valve... but I understand that Auto Bionics do the same as per Marks post, pays yer money takes yer choice.....
Can someone please explain how this is then linked in to the AC controls, in so far can yo make a more integral heating ventilation control unit? Is it LuckyP(?) that has created someting a little more visually appealing than the factory option.
Thanks.
There is so much to think about with this car before you even start.

It's a simple wiring job so it has power, connect it wherever the standard valve is, or wherever else you want to/can fit it, the knob is a potentiometer so you can stick it in between the 2 other factory controls instead of the standard pull knob.
It's very very simple to do, the instructions are nice and clear. Easy upgade imo

Agree. Just to add, all 3 of the ventilation control are independant. The heater control opens / closes the valave to let hot water into the matrix... the AC control switches on the compressor & gets the cold gasses moving.... then you still need to turn the fan control to push the hot / cold air into the cabin. Being independant, you've got quite a bit of freedom about what you do with them.
