I did it a few years ago and it's excellent, tiring but excellent.

The LM cars are so fast you won't believe the cornering speeds you can achieve. Formula cars too...they give your arms a workout alright. You'll love it, might be a bit slippy if raining mind you.

I went last year and it was amazing.
Try a couple of different instructors as they all have a lot of different advice to give.

Enjoy it.

Done a few of the experience days and the palmersport one was the best by a mile. The LMs will have you browning your pants and laughing simultaneously.

Ask them to show you the video of someone rolling one of the single seaters.

My wife got me in at Palmer Sports for a 30th birthday present, best present ever! You'll love it. I even came away with the Formula Jaguar and Driver of the Day trophies rotate

BTW the quality of the onboard is scensoredt, well, mine is anyway and it's not cheap.

I went on one at Brands in 2004, we had the MG ZR and the open wheeler, great fun. I span off massively just as I exited Druids.

Absolutely fantastic day, it won't disappoint you in any capacity! I hope for your sake it doesn't rain, but the M3 in particular is still incredible in the wet.

The instructors are top-notch, talk to them, ask them things, and they'll have improvements for you. Start off gently and push harder as you go, you don't have to dive in with each car but don't be afraid to go for the limit once you know your way around!

Also, if you have feet bigger than a size 10 I'd make sure you've got some nice and slim footwear, as you'll find the Caterham pedal boxes quite tight!

My on-board video from last year is excellent quality, not sure when the poster above did theirs but it's very good now.

It's an awesome day out. Was there recently, the change of the Atom from the Porsche/Clio was very welcome as the atom's just bloody brilliant...

They played that for us after the single seater safety briefing.. Just before we were about to head out on track. I was under 21 so had a £1500 excess too.. hehe

In my experience, its the ONLY driving day worth bothering with. Yes,its not cheap, but the professionalism of the organisation is beyond reproach, and the instructors genuinely push you to go faster.

Would do it monthly if I had the money.

Agree completely.

I did it a few years back (Clio touring car, FPA, EVO, VX220 Turbo, JP1, karts, Caterhams)... absolutely awesome day.

The JP1, on slicks, on a damp track was a proper challenge, but stupidly fast. The FPA was relatively tame as it had traction control. My favorite was the Clio Touring Car... damp track, slicks, no grip at the rear, massively sideways in to every corner... hillarious hehe

The instructors are fantastic. My advice is to be sensible on the out lap and build up your pace. Once they can see you have some basic ability and aren't going to do something stupid they really encourage you to use all the car's performance. My instruictor in the Clio was laughing his head off as we smoked our way round the lap and kindly wound his window down to help get rid of the smoke that had filled the interior.

You'll have a great day.
