Kitcar manufacture or garage software?

Can anyone recommend a suitable software package to help run this type of business?

I am looking for a way to make life simpler in trying to run the books. Spend way to much time trying to keep track instead of being out in the workshop earning a crust.
Most important end feature will be the VAT output.....the factor that can most likely bring a business to its knees if you get it wrong.

Quickbooks because it is owner-user orientated rather than an 'accountants' system. Also, get a book keeper to run it for you. Make sure that if you use a self employed book keeper that they have PI insurance. That will make sure that are covered in the event of a cockup, and will demonstrate that they take their job seriously.
