Right folks, Cerb is coming together nicely, just waiting for decat and exhaust system first week in May.

Will be heading to Chatsworth so looking forward to meeting as many of you all as possible.

Question this time is i'm convinced Cats are strangling cars performance ( as we know they do ) mine are looking battered and prob the original ones ! 1999 4.5. is it possible to remove them and punch them through to give a clear flow ? or any other tempory fix till system gets fitted ?

What is best way to check if Lamda's are working fine ? i've done coil packs, plugs and leads and pulling lovely and smooth now but when travelling slow at 2000 ish rpm she will hesitate a bit on the odd occasion, maybe normal but to me just does not feel right.

Next step has to be getting the Cats off or cleared through to see how that changes things

Quicker and better to fit decat pipes - if the entire volume of the cat is empty it will introduce some odd behaviour into the pulses in the exhaust.

I agree, dont punch the cats through.

Leave them as they are and wait for the De cats.

Also I'm sure alot of AJPs have a bit of a flat spot around 1900 - 2000 rpm. A good re map should make it less noticeable.

I would wait for the decats and then get it mapped, it'll make a big difference
In the meantime, if the cats have collapsed I would avoid giving it full beans until then as it can't do the engine much good.

Cheers all, agree with what your saying i'm just bothered about the 600/700 miles i'm going to be doing before exhaust and decat ! so a tempory fix would help.
