When on Standby I've noticed a few times over the last few days a definite 'Click' from the TV, sounds the same as the one you get when switching on/off.

Any ideas? It's well in the 5 years warranty currently.

I have a panny G10 and it has always done this from new. I have heard it do it in the middle of the night after the tv has been off for hours google it and seems they all do it.

Normal. Panasonics come out of total sleep to standby, to check for Freeview (or Freesat if fitted) updates. The click you hear is them going back to sleep again.

You can turn it off in the menu (Check for updates).

Whilst we're on the G20, does anyone elses seem to buzz pretty loud whenever a brighter image is shown?

When using it to look at photos it's very noticable. I must admit I don't usally hear it during normal viewing, but the fact that I occasionally notice it is intriguing considering its status as 'the one to have'.

I'm not sure that it's a fault per se, but if that's normal I'd have thought that's a rather elementary thing people would complain about in their pursuit of home cinema perfection...

I'm very happy with it otherwise, but this is getting to be a rather instrusive niggle.

I realise that there are higher specced models, but this model is the default for any "what TV" thread

well the above explains the random clicks... wonder why, just thaught it was a staged shut down...

with regard to the buzzing on bright pics, this is something that is the down side... it was one of the things that I had read about and concerened me before buying a G20... but yes it is there, but I don't notice it on normal viewing as a I sit far enough away for it not to be heard......

I did read that some sets had to have something changed as there was really bad, and this appeared to cure/improve the issue..... again only what I read prior to getting mine.

Thanks for the extra clicking advice - can stop worrying now.

As for the buzzing, yes I get that, mostly when the screens have lots of white. I don't think it's as bad as it was when new, but then I may have just got used to it.

Some have returned them under warranty, I think it's one of the power boards that gets replaced. To be honest, it doesn't bother me overly much so not done anything about it.

Ah well - I did think that it would be 'normal'.

It doesn't bother me enough (yet) to do anything about it other than complain though biggrin.
