Hi All,

I have been a long time reader and just joined so i could take part in some of the topics. I have been a car enthuiast from a young age but i have always liked Mercedes. I am only 17 and currently driving a VW Golf. I am playing as a pro tennis player, i have been playing since the age of 4. I have my first track day next week with a friend in a z4m coupe. I can't wait to see what it's all about

cheers

Elliot

Thanks for the welcome

It's a Mk4 1.6 Golf - I'm aspiring to something a little more sporty once my insurance has dropped and I gain more experience driving

People born in 1994 are now driving. Anyone else feel old?

Welcome? Pro tennis player? You'll be retired at my age then (30 next month)

I feel older still.

Yep!

(Love the car in your profile by the way, I had one from new, and only managed 110,000 miles in it smile)

that's loooong gone. I've had 4 btw, two Rallyes and two GTI-6 and loved them all, in fact, I think all still on. Engines are tough too, a mate had his race car rolling roaded today, roads, pistons and lots of boost makes 410BHP at the wheels. Stonking

I think the Z4M should get you hooked I reckon fantastic cars smile

One word of advice, start saving now and stick with the Golf. Then when you hit the magic 25 where insurance actually becomes affordable then you will have the money to buy something special smile

Don't do what I did and waste 1000's by chopping and changing cars through 18 - 25!

Hello! wavey

Well straight away you're driving a better car than me (in a 13yr old Micra).

Your track day sounds great, where will you be going for it? Im trying to get myself out on more this year (dad shall hopefully be getting a Lotus Elise or similar soon). Let the track days begin! smile

Anyway, I'm sure you'oll settle in fine smile

Phil.

Ok thanks for the advice!

Your not wrong there, the Z4 M is fantastic- not a bad car to be in for my first track day smile shame about the nut behind the wheel though biggrin
