Hi all, my Griff insurance is due at the beginning of May. Been collecting quotes as my current insurer (Mannings) want about £400!! Had two good quotes, like for like with agreed value, only £200 excess and covered for the occassional work commute - the best, Adrian Flux at £281! Last year they were not as competetive. Shall be giving them the business once I have had the confirmation and verify the cover. All the best, Pete

Self (52 director) + partner (48 nurse) = £238 fully comp, full NCB at Churchill. smile

Good luck...it does pay to shop around!

What age did the classic car click in Carsy and who with? One insurer told me that they could do a good price next year when mine is 15 - not sure who it was though (doh - only thought about it afterwards! Could have been Peter Taylor??)

Ideally you want to go with a specialist as the run of the mill insurers do not understand the market. Its only when you come to make a claim that you find out how good/bad your cover is.

All ATDO, FAEO or recognised car club (of which you are a member). That covers pretty much all TDOs. Only exception just brought in this year is Nurburgring, unless it is a track day event.

Got a quote through from Peter Taylor, though only £254 it was a higher excess, did not include occasional use for my journey to work (would not do it) and did not include my wife as an additional driver. Will stick with Adrian Flux this year as the quote included everything I wanted and had a lower excess and agreed value with supply of photos - all for £266 or with personal accident cover £281.
