got my cams fitted it lives hooray
Discussion
after posting bits on here lately i finally fitted my new cams / followers etc as the others were so badly worn it looked as though they were going to split the profiles clean off.
had a prob with alternator main wire but like an idiot i had connected it to the starterotor so had to pull that out again just to unbolt the wire but that will teach me for being a plonker lol
fired her up yesterday and she started on the button and sounds a lot better.
i set the shim clearances to 12thou ex and 10in, she still sounds a bit rattly on top but the engine is much smoother on idle and revs easier too.
gonna drop the oil at the weekend and give her a once over then hopefully look out france this year.
cant believe im actually getting excited about driving it for the first time since i bought it a year ago

After that i had to wait nearly two years to drive again. full strip restoration and rebuild...
Weird looking back now as i forgot alot of the work... but love every second - good and bad lol
