Nick Potter no longer at CC Mids

Not sure if anyone else knows but Nick Potter is no longer with Caterham Cars Midlands.
I just wanted to say thanks to Nick for all the excelent support and help over the years, I have personally purchased 3 cars from Nick over many many years, the last being my current R500.
I believe that Brett is taking over things going forwards.

Oh sorry to hear he's gone. I've also bought three cars through Nick and his product knowledge was brilliant. In fact I can say that after speaking to the unhelpful South and then going on a Westfield factory visit almost bought one of them 
but then I heard that Caterham Midlands was local to me so I dropped in, met Nick and the rest is history. Any idea where he's gone?

I was in the process of buying my 2nd 7 from Nick and have been emailing and writing to him with spec changes but getting no reply. So I phoned a few weeks ago to discover that he left in February and will not be replaced but Greg Smith will be handling Midlands sales although he seems to covering other areas as well as Midlands.
I was initially a bit irritated that Nick hadn't sent me an email to say he was leaving and who my new contact would be, in fact none of my spec changes had been picked up by anyone which was a bit worrying. My resulting impression was that maybe Tony Fernandes had been busy with his new broom and Nick was one of the casualties or maybe disgruntled with new contract and decided to go. He has been with CC since 2002 and previously worked with TVR, Lotus and Ferrari.
Anyway, apparently he left to start up his own business repairing and servicing cars so good luck to him but not the best time to start up such a business during a recession. He still calls in a CC Midlands and I understand he buys an R300 in kit form on an annual basis, assembles it and sells it on. If he is running his own Garage Servicing business he will certainly have to curtail his golfing activities a bit.

Tony Fernandes is actually extremely hands off and I very much doubt if he knew who Nick was. I knew it in my bones that something was wrong and NP had not departed CC on good terms. Looks like TF had been busy with his new broom after all.
I saw Nick at the weekend. I was following a trailered 12 plate gulf Caterham and was stopped at the lights behind the car when Nick jumped out, ran back and shook my hand, said "I've sold the car" and ran back to his car and drove away!
Nick - if you are reading this, I didnt have time to wish you well in your new venture.
