well it got home sticky brakes noisier dif than ive ever heard and i think the gearbox is whiney too [cant tell over the noise of the dif] the screen isnt attatched only about 4 screws holding the whole roof on the boot doesnt lock theres a hinge pin missing from drivers door no carpets dubious electrics half the targa clips are broken dirty seats BUT apart from the brakes it drives superbly - well worth 400.
strangely on the journey back samurai leading geep what came the other way along the A520 ???

oh anyone got an escort axle or dif??
any thoughts on putting a bmw 6 and auto in there??

Hi yes it was Geoffrey and Panther coming the other way.
Tech sec as you say was driving Panther and Martin was driving Geoffrey.
We were just returning from a test run on Geoffrey after having to do an engine swap.

I know an Opel engine and box have been fitted to a Samuri as have a V8 and box (well it is yet to be finished).

One thing with the Sammies is there appears to be a little bit more room in the engine bay.

Might be worth checking out Ian Harwoods retirement sale re a diff.
