When us chaps met yesterday for some refined Southern drinks and banter it was confirmed that the Sara Maynard bits are a push on type so just pull off the old knob and slip on the new one. Is the gear knob any more involved? Do I need tools or is it an easy switch? And the column stalks?

Can't give any advice with knobs wink but I have just fitted the indicator stalks to my V12V and they were a doddle to fit (I have the instructions if you really want them but not necessary). The parts are precision designed to just push fit on the stalks. The buttons just have a self adhesive base and then the cover pushes into place and holds it all together.

The knob may well be quite tricky but presumably comes with instructions... A well-known specialist was unable to fit mine, the guy who built it did it in minutes!

It's not a screw on type like a Halfords jobbie, think the gaitor needs to come off as well?

WELL worth it, feels so much nicer to drive smile

Yeah, I think the gear knob is a bit more of a challenge.

Grange had to contact Sarah Maynard (not her, but somebody who installs her stuff!) when they moved the knob onto my new car.

For the price of the piece, I'm sure they'll talk you through how to install it.

Never heard of this so I thought I'd look up Sarah Maynard's bits.
