First Race of the 2012 Season!
Discussion
Hi all,
Next weekend (28th) we will be competing in the GT Cup at Donnington. we will be racing against some top end machinery...
Its going to be very intresting to see how the Cerb compares to the likes of the new Mclaren and the race 458's with a good few Porsche 997 GT3 cars as well. Over the winter we have made some subtle and not so subtle changes to the car and it is now the quickest it has ever been (and thanks to TVR Power looks the best it has).
Due to the quicker class being introduced this year in GT Cup the Cerb is now at its optimum, no balast, no restrictions and i cant wait! The driver has also had a weight loss program! 3 stone lighter than last year which should help achieve the speed we will need.
If the cerb can compete with these new GT3 race cars i'm usure (but hopefull)... i will certainly be trying!
On Saturday we have Quali at 11:40 and Race 1 at 16:40. We then have 2 races on the Sunday Race 2 at 11:40 and Race 3 at 16:15.
As always we hope to see some of you there but for those who cant make it every event from the weekend will be posted live onto our facebook page cerberav8racing.
Thanks
Mike

Sounds great Mike, I have enjoyed watching your old videos, I hope there is some more footage to come with the car in its new configuration.
Cant make Donny myself but will do my very best to make it to another race weekend this year. Would love to see you have the measure over some of the newer machinery.

As Paul mentioned! I do hope there is no funny business with the GT Cup mob this season!
Cant make the first race weekend, but will be seeing you soon mate.
Good luck Mike, fly that TVR flag as brilliantly as you always do.

Ah shame, I'm not going to be able to make it to this one (I say shame, but I have vip passes to the Touring Cars at Thruxton - with Michael Caine funnily enough!). Hope it all goes well though mate and I'll try and get down to the next one!
Has Michael Caine got a double? It's just that he is also listed on the Britcar site as racing a lotus with Steve Gugliamie(sp) this weekend at Donington Park. I also thought that he was doing btcc this year.S6 ROR said:

Oh right well maybe not with him! The company my bro works for is sponsoring a couple of touring cars and a Porsche in the British gt cup (different series to this one apparently??) and Caine is apparently the guy sorting out their hospitality package so has been at the other races with the company bods. Shame if he's not at this one - was looking forward to meeting him and talking tvrs!Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
