I know we all like 'what car' threads so thought I'd start one. smile

The OH curently has a 206cc which she absolutely loves on account of 1. it's size, and 2. it has a proper roof.

We're doing a european roadtrip this summer and would like to replace the 206 with something else but it HAS to have a hardtop and be roughly the same size. I don't think there's too much out there with those criteria aside from a 207cc (which is the favourite at the moment), so if anyone has any other suggestions, we're all ears.

How much?

Some very nice 3 series convertables available for good money. My 335i 57plate with 53000 miles is worth about £13600 - ie what a dealer offered me to buy from me. - lovely car, full BMW service and 9mth BMW warrenty. - its not for sale. was curious on a trade in but something like that would be great to drive around europe in top down. If you go for a slower car then will be cheaper still.

Hmm, there's a few... off the top of my head, there's the MX5, Wind, Tigra, 207CC, Colt CZC, Micra C+C and that's about it.

mx5 RC 2007 are about the 8k mark - maybe a bit higher
With some negotiation that could be brought within your budget
