Satnav for Israel

Im off to Israel next month an hiring a car where the satnav rental is £14/day
so does anyone know of either
a cheap Satnav I can use in Israel or if I can buy an off the shelf garmin 550/660 that will do
(cheap or may as well put the £140 towards a unit I will buy later anyway to use on a motorbike)
other option is I have an iPhone 4 and load it with the tomtom software?
