Sleep Apnoea and the DVLA Drivers Medical Group

I suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. The condition is now being treated and everything is under control. Both My Consultant and GP say I am fit to drive.

The problem is the DVLA Drivers Medical Group. I applied for my licence at the beginning of February, and to date it has taken them Seven weeks to write to my GP.

Going on past performance they will probably take another seven weeks and then write to my consultant before taking at least another seven weeks to review that.

Is there any way to speed things up ?

Phoning them achieves nothing.

After you deal with the telephone robot from hell , All they say is effectively 'We are the DVLA and we are going to take our time on this and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it'.
