Amaretto Sours

My girlfriend just made one for me:

Crushed ice, Amaretto, lemon juice, topped up with orange juice.

It is insanely nice (if a little ghey).

I would drop the OJ, and just shake the Amaretto (im guessing you're using Disaronno?) with lemon juice and a dash of angostura.

Nice idea with the angostauras... I was using fresh orange juice so it was quite sharp anyway and then with a big amount of lemon juice.

Was v nice.

The wife absolutely loves these. Can't get them in most bars over here though, a lot of barmen haven't even heard of them!

but it should be done with only Ammaretto, fresh lemon juice, augusta bitters (however you spell it) and an egg white, poured over lots of crushed ice.

I went 2:1:1 amaretto, orange, lemon and a couple of dashes of bitters. Very tasty but I'll back off the lemon a touch for balance I think.

Ping pong restaurants in london used to do Amaretto Wasabi sours, the most amazing drink i've ever tasted, it really worked.
