Buying a SORNed vehicle

Hi

Collective thoughts please. Going to have a look at a vehicle this Sunday. It is currently SORNed. Has an MOT, but obviously no tax or insurance. Ideally like to test drive. But then need to get it back to home. It is about three hours drive away.

Could the current owner get two weeks insurance to get tax? So then i could collect a couple of weeks later.

Get it transported. I bought a no tax, mot or runner and got it transported and hour and a half for £70 on shiply

Transporting going to be expensive as i live on th isle of wight and vehicle is in somerset.....

These ferries aint cheap, even for cars......
