Newford Parts Co
Discussion
This was a bit of a surprise!
When I was looking for a new gearlever gaiter for my S (see separate posting) I was referred by a national Ford parts stockist to this firm. They do appear on our contacts list as www.newfordpartsonline.co.uk which is a bit of a misnomer and could be confusing. The company name is Newford Parts, but they do not deal in parts for new fords!
My first surprise was that they are very close to me, at Abbey Village, which is between Blackburn and Chorley. I confess I had never heard of them.
My second surprise was when I visited. A massive aladdins cave! They have been buying up obsolete Ford parts for years and now have 10,000 sq ft of old mill space stacked high with Ford stuff. Room after room, rack after rack, quite amazing! Bit difficult to find things I admit but good fun treasure hunting!
As so much of our cars is Ford based, and particularly perhaps as Sierra parts are now obsolete (and they have therefore bought lots), this place is an important resource for us. If you want something from them and you (or they) are not sure if it is right then email me and I will try to nip over to check it out. All helps with goodwill, and I think we are going to need it to keep as many S's on the road as possible!
