Any tips on how to remove the glue residue from metallic paint?

Stuck some on (don't ask) and tried to take off after a week and lots of reside left behind...

Thanks in advance.

Panel wipe or petrol. Keep it well soaked and dont scrub too hard or you'll scratch the paint.

Glue & Tar remover will also do the job.

t-cut will do it.. and nicely buff up the paint at the same time (remember to wax it afterwards)

Wow, that was harder than I thought.

Tried tar remover + microfibre cloth with no luck.

Ended up only coming off with polish and a dry interior wipe (as opposed to microfibre cloth).

No damage to the paint thankfully.

Need to investigate an alternative means of masking - heard you get can get less 'sticky' form of tape?

My friend just used some of the blue 3M stuff on my bonnet and it stuck superbly and pulled away leaving virtually no marks at all.In fact, I couldn't see any.

This is the stuff you want. Comes off no problem, leaves no tack either.
