Evo oil pressure

Hi, I am having problems getting oil pressure on my evo 4. The engine has been sitting for about a year and a half. I have fitted new belts, new filter and tried to turn it over without the plugs, but light still on. I have fitted a new switch too. Any help would be appreciated.

Not overly familiar with them. But can you backfill the main oil feed to the filter and rotate the engine backwards by hand to try and prime the pump manually with oil ?

Assuming the problem is as simple as a dry pump.

The other route Ive had success in the past with awkward engines. If you can get access to an oil gallery ( Ive used turbo feed before ), attach one of those big sucker pump things for drainin oil and pump like mad whilst cranking. That little bit of vacuum assistance can draw oil from the sump and into the pump which then starts pumping again.
