Hotels/B&B's in York

Going to York for a couple of days next month, wondering if anyone has any great experiences of hotels of B&B's in or near York?

My mate's Son is one of the Chefs at http://www.churchillhotel.com and he, although probably biased, really rates the food there and rooms are <100 per night.

ETA Forgot to say, post your question in the Yorkshire section, there are loads of York inhabitants.

Stayed in the Best Western near the Minster - really enjoyed it and I stay in a lot of a hotels!

Got a bargain through booking.com

We stayed at The Minster Hotel on Bootham in the center,it is a few quid over your budget but worth it.It is a short walk from York Minster and everything else,has its own FREE car park and is surrounded by real pubs and lots of different restaurants.
