nearly there, back after over a year

Hello all

It's been a while since I posted but I keep popping on to see what everyone is up to.

The S has been off the road for a year now, mainly due to working away last year and having no time to sort it. I rebuilt the engine/gearbox/ brakes in 2010, and had the body off and repaired the outriggers.

Since she has stood, I've trundled her up and down the drive to keep the clutch and brakes free. I decided to get her going again a few weeks ago, so have sorted out the blowing joints between the manifolds and hockey sticks (sounds lovely now) and changed the discs/pads due to the discs getting rusty. Sadly, while doing that, I found one of the calipers had seized, so I sent them away to Bigg redd for a refurb.

Just got them back, and they have done a fantastic job...piccies attached.
All that remains is 2 new tyres fitted on Monday (the sidewalls had cracked on the old ones), MOT on Wednesday, and then I'm back on the road......
Just need some sunshine now...

Nice job. Are those Siera Cosworth 4-pot callipers? Or something else? Do you have to use spacers or adaptors to get them to fit? If not what discs do you do you use to get everything to line up?

Yes mate, they are sierra cosworth 4 pots.

They are not a straight fit from new, as the mounting lugs on the caliper are machined back by about 3mm to get them to sit central...(i found this out when I boght new and they didn't fit).

The discs are about 280mm (could be 283) and it gives the brakes great performance.
