Balancing E36 M3 Evo Throttle Bodies
Discussion
I've just stripped and refurbished the throttle bodies on my M3, I'm now wanting to synchronise them. On older M cars (E30 M3, E34 M5) there are vacuum attachments on each body so you can attach a manometer and using the bypass screws adjust the vacuum to the same amount. Unfortunately the E36 doesn't have these vacuum points and the setup as specified by BMW is done by computer (http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/s/view.pl?1/01/12/08).
What I'm wondering is whether it's worth adding these vacuum points to my bodies and performing a manual balance or whether it'll be pointless due to not having the ability to adjust individual cylinder fuelling (if that's what DIS does in the BMW setup).
Any other ways of accomplishing this DIY?
