Hi, just finished doing my tappets in readiness for run to spa at the end of May and you guessed; I have a radiator leak.

Does anyone have one? or recommend best place for a good deal.

Call Tim at ACT. Expect around £400.

If you can get it recored that would be cheaper. You might have to scout around to find somewhere to do it though.

Sort of spooky – some weeks ago I had some pin holes appear after back-flushing my rad, guess I washed out some rad-weld. Then while waiting for the rad to come back, ended up doing my tappets – all in readiness for Spa…
I had a good price for a re-core from http://www.aaronradiator.co.uk/ , £300 if I recall correctly, so could be worth checking them out ; I actually decided to get it done locally at similar price but without any additional shipping cost, as I was concerned about damage on the return journey.
Actually wish I’d sent it away and taken the risk - the rad was welded up slightly off square – which made re-fitting tricky and they had spayed it with silver paint – sort of sticky when hot ! so wont recommend them. It still works though…
Hope this helps ..

yikes
had mine repaired (complete new core) by a chap in Coventry (recommended to me by Adrian Venn so I had complete confidence). About half that from memory!

ok - will investigate re-core locally, if no joy will ask you where's best

thanks. £150 vs £400, big difference
