...but we actually managed to get enough traffic cars from neighbouring divisions to the right place, at the right time, to put on a full rolling block/TPAC, and stop an (allegedly) stolen Porsche.

No injury to any person, no damage to any vehicles, and three locked up sus TWOC. Porsche recovered.

If you were caught in the resulting snarl up, sorry.

Although perhaps if you hadn't all been so busy rubbernecking at all the cops and cop cars, the congestion would have cleared a LOT quicker...

Apologies for this Dibs, but I have to ask. Would the response have been the same for a twenty year old escort (the ford kind of course!)?

Yes. It was a pleasant change to actually have the right resources in the right place at the right time.

This is the preferred tactic for stopping ANY pursuit now - this one was closed down before it even got off the ground.

I note you say, "(allegedly) stolen". Seems a massive effort at considerable direct cost causing much inconvenience (but some entertainment) to Joe Public for something that was not confirmed (but I bet there's another story there ) - Streaky

I think they have to say that until after any conviction.

IMHO absolutely, the £££ value of the car never enters the equation where pursuits and such like are concerned..

Und how much will you be charging the Porsche owner to recover his car (which he carelessly allowed to get stolen in the first place) to recover it from your pound?

Well - you gotta recap some money from all that expense

Cynical - moi?

Have to say - pal of mine did jury service some years ago - and scrotes had actually been copped in alleged stolen top of range Ford Grandad something or other at time. He said scrote had cheek to enter "Not Guilty" plea when it was fairly obvious from the evidence that this was a "ringer gang" op and cars stolen to order.

They found scrote guilty and judge sentenced him to .... short sentence - about 9 months or so! Even back then ..... rot was setting in!

what is betting that these scrotes just get to eat lumpy custard provided they sit and do it quietly at the back of the court!

Humph - come back from hols even more warped than I was before!

What's the difference between a 'double, double murderer', a 'serial killer' and a 'quadruple murderer'?

Impossible Shirley!

I expect you'd like to show us your holiday snaps next. Anyhow I hope you had a good time.

Best wishes all,

I think a double, double murderer is made with dark chocolate and comes off the dessert cart. A Serial killer is definately a drink i had last summer in Greece. And a quadruple murderer is a nasty man/woman. (Is this in bad taste?)

Congratualtions to all BiBs concerned. Never mind a hold up if it is to put scum away. If they're going to get less than a year though wouldn't it be better to try and rehabilitate them, rather than lock them up. They probably had a bad up bringing and could do with a holiday. I hear there's a nice resort in Guantanomo Bay.
