Cycled oulton Park today

Actually good fun, was with my 4yo so the times were slow (good excuse? he only has a 12" single speed) Supprised how bad the surface was, good to see the track at slow speed, picked up some good line pointers for my next track day

Was a local charity thing, for Tarporley Hospital, a fiver for as many laps as you want, next one is in september, will post about it when it comes up. Should have posted up earlier really, sorry.

I'd love to cycle round a few of the circuits.

I'm sure there was a endurance team cycle round brands many years ago. I recon it would be popular with all the sportive boys.

castle combe is open on some evenings in the summer and i think there is the race series on a thursday.

there is a team/solo enduro sportive thing at Brands hatch on 17th Sep which looks tempting....

makes sense really, some circuits are blighted by noise regulations and people like traffic free routes (though going round in circles would bore me eventually) and the facilities at race circuits are better than village halls where these things normally start...

I know the organisers for the event on sunday, cost of circuit hire was 600quid that the local lions group paid it so all gate takings went to the hospital. Oulton is missing a trick though, I would pay subs to do evening circuits on the track.

Get involved with a team, arrive Friday night, when the team and drivers walk the circuit, take your bike. job jobbed.
