Exhaust Mod

Had my exhaust modified last week by a local exhaust specialist as it was just too loud. Can’t believe the difference it has made. The original was an aftermarket stainless replacement but was a bit crude and too large in diameter. Had it cut off just in front of the diff and a Powerflow 400 x 170 oval box fitted together with new stainless pipes to join up with the down pipes. Now have a deeper more mellow sound and the engine feels much smoother. And the price? Well for all parts and 1 hours labour £70 quid.

Yes at that rate I think he could build me a whole system for less than £200.
It is a tad lower than the old one so I'm thinking I will stiffen up the springs to keep the ass of the floor on B roads.

Manifolds would be well beyond the capability of this place, but they are ok at throwing together bits of pipe and silencers.
I used Kingswinford tyres and exhausts, the fitter modified it on a "best guess, I'll give it a go basis", did'nt have too much to loose for 70 quid.
