Horse & Jockey, Ravensdon - anyone been?

We're going on Saturday with some friends and have heard it's supposed to be good but don't know anyone who's actually been. So any PHers dined there and care to share their opinions good or bad?

Been there many a time never had a bad meal plenty of food and a good choice some people have commented on portion size but personally I would rather too much than leaving hungry
Being fairly local toss up between there and the Plough at Bolnhurst although last time did not enjoy meal so much personally if you want a good meal local to Bedford I would choose Horse & Jockey every time.
On a seperate note god it is hard being without a TVR

I've been before - Used to live just up the road near the Indian restaurant on the B660.


The food was very good but one of the party did get a weevil in their salad!

Although there is always a chance that sort of thing can happen with fresh veg/salad, and the staff handled it well so it's not necessarily too bad a thing.
