sport seats or Light weight seats?
Discussion
I know that I am biased but, the sports seats have more adjustment plus they have the oh so important seat heating which is fab! Funnily enough I was advised against the LW seats whilst on our PDC at Millbrook. Plus we drove from Le Mans to Hereford (480 miles0 with no complaints at all.
Had normal heated seats in 4.3 V8V and I just could never get a truly comfy position. By the time the seats heat up the car is warm anyway. The RR I have burns your butt in 2 mins.
In the V12V I have sports seat and being mostly Alcantara they don't seem cold when you get in. So the rather naff seat heating is not missed. I was expecting a loss of some of the adjustability. But given they are less bulky the range of positions is equal if not greater and TBH I think it is very much comfier. And if you are pushing the car with its enormous grip levels you will be pleased you chose the sports seats.
And there seems to be more room behind the seats to find all the stuff that falls off the back shelf which should come with cargo neting.

I have lightweight seats in my V12V and they are so good I would not buy another Aston again if it didnt have them. You sit in them rather than on them (as you do with the sports seats) and they give amazing lateral support hugging you at the shoulder and bottom/thighs. I was worried that I would miss the seat heating but as I too have half alcantara seats I can honestly say it really hasnt been an issue at all.
People are different of course in both preferences and physical size. If you enjoy lots of pies then you might end up finding that you prefer sports seats!!!

So you're saying that if you're lightweight, go for the lightweight seats, if you're heavier, go for heavy seats?
When I was looking to buy a roadster, I really liked the looks of the light weight seats.
However, the lack of seat heating was a deal breaker for me.
They keep you a lot warmer on an early morning winter blast, than the heating alone does.
I find them very comfortable, even on long journeys through France.
I doubt you would regret either choice.

Just looking at the V12Vantages in the classifieds, there are 15 cars but only 4 have the LWseats. Seems there not so wanted?
Sorry can't follow your logic there. If only 4 have LWseats would that not indicate that they may be selling quicker?

I know my S is rare in that is has them only seem them in the press car S's.
Oh and you can retrofit heaters to the LWS

It costs more than 10k to retrofit the LWS to the V12 Vantage so as one previous poster said, I simply think that the cars with the LWS sell quicker than those without. I find the LWS to be excellent and don't miss the seat heating for a moment. (In a convertible that would be a different matter).
I really wanted light weight seats in my V12V having initially driven one with them fitted. Having now spent 18 months in sports seats," this Lady isn't for turning" .
It maybe my delicate derrière , but the sports seats suit my posterior fine for long journeys and are more than adequate for hooning round the twisties.
Plus, as my OH also is allowed to drive my car if he's behaved it's great to have the separate memory positiond dialled in.
